June is National Safety Month

Follow the Arizona Chapter National Safety Council in June

for National Safety Month- the annual observance to help keep each other safe

from the workplace to anyplace.

There are weekly topics covering pressing issues, including:

Week 1 – Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs)

MSDs are a leading cause of workplace injury and cost

billions of each year in workers’ compensation and productivity.

Week 2 – Workplace Impairment

We all know the dangers of substance abuse on the job. But

did you know mental distress, stress and fatigue are also impairing?

Week 3 – Injury Prevention

In 2020 alone, more than four million workplace injuries

required medical attention in the U.S. What are you doing to prevent injuries?

Week 4 — Slips, Trips and Falls

Falls are the second-leading cause of US unintentional injury-related

deaths.
